Glastonbury Edited Image 5

This image is of the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and it is the view from the top of the hill. As you can see it is a very big arena and I saw some amazing bands there all weekend almost. The same with the other 3 images was the fact that I edited the smudge out of it. Unfortunately you can clearly see where the image has been edited as it looks lighter so I still need to work on my sharpening skills.

This is an image of a wall at Glastonbury with very nice looking mosaic tyles. There is a slight smudge on the side of one of the tyles that says warm enough so I edited out the smudge on the edited image. I think that this time I mastered the smudge tool a big and it looks much more realistic than before. The wall was located inbetween the John Peel stage and the Dance Village and it devided up the two areas apart.

This origional image is of Badly Drawn Boy performing at the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury. He played very good set and I was right at the front. The tent was extremely packed out and I was glad I was in the position that I was in because I reckon that if I was anywhere near the back it would have been rubbish. The edited version is in black and white and the reason why I edited it in this way was because it really represented the intimacy of that gig. Even though it was packed it felt like a very small crowd at the front.

My origional image has a smudge on it and you cannot see the glorious view that was. I decided to remove the smudge from the image via the unsharp mask option. As you can see this is prettey unsuccessful but I think you can see the view much more clearer than before. The picture was taken at the Glastonbury Festival in 2009 and my story would be about Glastonbury.

Image number one is the edited image. As you can see it is edited in black and white and made it so that the back lights of the car are shown and the traffic lights.

Image number two is the origional image. My idea is to take photos of the traffic and explain to the reader that a raoad is gonna be put in place for people to access Three Bridges easyer but this will mean that the library will be taken down. I also have photos of the librarary also.

Camera Methods

Capture is reflected light from an object into a camera then onto a light sensitive surface.

Process means that the captured image is tuened into something we can see.

Store is the image is putinto something can keep, such as a printed photograph

Analogue Photography

1. Light hits the camera through the lens                                                                                                        2. Light hits light sensitive film and reacts with it.                                                                                      3. Film removed from camera and put into chemicals for developing into negative.                            4. Negative projected onto photographic paper and printed, using more chemicals

Digital Photography

1. Light enters the camera through the lens                                                                                               2. Signal from sensor converted into the digital data by the processor                                                3. Digital data stored as an image onto the storage medium on the camera

Different ways and means of faking photography

Manipulation- Is the oldest trick in the book. You can get images together and make them look like they are just one image.

Cropping- Cropping is used to make it look like there is only one side to the story, it is a very biased way of looking at things.
